Kata Balázs-Miklós graduated from ELTE Budapest in art history and Hungarian literature and linguistics. She held various scholarships at the Jagiellonian University and the University of Florence.
Apart from periods spent at Ludwig Museum and working as a junior research grantee at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, she has taught at various schools and universities, including the University of Film and Theatre and the University in Eger. Since 2020, she has been working at acb ResearchLab. In her work, she focuses particularly on the art of the 1980s, photography, performance art and, more recently, textile/fibre art.
She was president of AICA Hungary from 2023 to 2026 and currently serves as a member of its board.
