The performance “Liliana” is inspired by the artist Liliana Lewicka, her meditation group, and the idea of dematerializing a work of art and transferring it into the realm of thought, imagination, and inner experiences. Drawing on the motto that guides Lewicka’s work: “the less of the work, the better the effect,” the performance invites viewers into a world of subtle experiences, where the invisible becomes just as important as the material form. It is an attempt to seek out art in the realm of imagination, contemplation, and that which eludes direct experience.
