Inspired by the work of Eileen Myles, the performance “Dog is travelling through you” is about a dog living inside the body of a Polish lesbian. Based on selected fragments of Myles’s poems and short stories from Chelsea Girls and Afterglow (a dog memoir), as well as her own disorienting experience of being a lesbian in Poland, Alka Nauman will create an experimental, absurd, and tender choreographic score dedicated to all those who howl and destroy out of longing.
