Dina Rončević is a multimedia and interdisciplinary artist, born in Zagreb in 1984, where in 2010 she completed vocational retraining as an automotive mechanic as part of her graduation project at the New Media Department of the Academy of Fine Arts. Her artistic practice is based on research through work in industry, relational formats and experiential processes, with a focus on themes of power, labour and gender. She has exhibited and performed widely and participated in numerous festivals and residencies in the fields of visual and performing arts. In 2013, she received the Radoslav Putar Award, and in 2015 she completed the Master’s programme at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. There, she began working as a welder, and today she lives in Liverpool and works as a lecturer in welding and fabrication at City of Liverpool College.
