Agnieszka Chodysz-Foryś has been creating programmes dedicated to the art of Lower Silesia and Wrocław for the last 25 years, systematising and contextualising the practices and artistic concepts of figures whose work has yet to be thoroughly examined in relation to the wider Lower Silesian art scene or within the broader context of European and international art. She began her professional career in 1999 at the WRO Media Art Foundation, where she coordinated the WRO01 International Media Art Festival. Since then, she has been actively involved in the field of visual arts, engaging local communities and promoting the region abroad. Since 2016, she has headed the Visual Arts Department at the Art and Culture Center in Wrocław, a cultural institution of the Lower Silesian Region. She is currently developing the Polish Performance Festival, which she conceived and which is presented at numerous European art centers and galleries, as well as the International Performance Festival “New Perspectives,” whose first edition will take place in Wrocław in

the autumn of 2026. She is also working on further monographic studies of the work of Lower Silesian artists, including Anna Płotnicka, Anna Kutera and Eugeniusz Minciel.
